Dr. Kumar was awarded a Gold Medal in Biochemistry and has presented papers at numerous forums during his postgraduate (MD) and postdoctoral (DM) days. He obtained the MBBS degree from JIPMER Puducherry in 1996; the MD (Medicine) postgraduate degree from JIPMER Puducherry in 2001; and, the DM (Nephrology) superspeciality degree from PGIMER Chandigarh in 2006.
Dr. Kumar has been a speaker at many Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programmes. Dr. Kumar's main fields of interest are Diabetic Nephropathy and Steroid Resistant Nephrotic Syndrome.
